Ignore that. It is an adware ad to get their fangs into you. Close it and go on.

Trojans? They're bad. And don't use the security or download's that pop up which you've never seen before on your computer. Buy it from the store, like Norton or McAfee, they're reliable. These programs that pop up can give you a virus, at least I got fooled and my former computer never works at all since I downloaded a pop up program. I learned a lesson, so you should never try it! Get rid of those virus's, or if the programs's just fooling you, buy the scanner anyways from the store (but as I said, a good one). It will scan through your computer and make sure there's really a virus or not.

If you just don't want to buy a anti-virus cleaner, just click on the start menu, programs, accessories, system tools, and click on 'system restore'. Click the date you want your computer to be back to normal, which was the day there was no virus or pop up programs, that way your computer will go back to that current day, and everything will be fine. Your computer will restore and the virus is out.

BUT, while u restore the system, it's more open to hackers. So once you're through with it, I suggest buy some computer protection.

All in all, those programs can be a scam, or your scanner is not a good program after all. Buy a better one or use the system restore.

Its, fake. Your PC is infected with adware. Use one or both of these to remove it. Both free.

Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free, so there's no harm giving it a try to see if something has invaded your computer.

i had a similar problem, your computer has been infected...but with spy wear. it will appear in your bottom right toolbar as some kind of security symbol. go into add/remove programs. see if there is anything there that shouldnt be there. have a close look at little red or yellow shields, if they are genuine they will say microsoft/norton etc. if it just says "security checker" or similar, take my word for it,it is safe to delete it. some will not allow you to delete, if this happens the only way then is to use system rertore and turn your computer back to an earlier time. (before the bugs appeared) just deleting these things from toolbars and desktops is not enough you have to REMOVE the whole program. when you have done all of this keep a regular eye on add/remove programs for unwanted visitors. now you all know what it took me days to find out.........happy hunting

Have you tried Symantec Security Check? It will scan your pc and provide information on how to remove the threat. Spybot is a good free tool to use to check for adware, malware. AVG 7.5 Free Edition is a good virus tool.

Is it in the bottom lower right corner where your other icons are. If so do a search for it on the internet on how to remove it. It is not part of windows and it has been spreading thru myspace and the such sites. Saying you have to download something to view anothers profile and then there it is. I had a similar program telling me that on the icon tray and it was very simple to remove...Thanks

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.

download firefox for free, Just have a try:

Don't download anything from a popup, it may lead to geting trojans. Download spybot-search and destroy and adaware from http://www.download.com and a-squared from http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/ these will get rid of any adware.

If you are worried about trojans then run a full scan with your anti virus software or get a free online scan from http://www.kaspersky.com (need to internet explorer for it).
