If her laptops touch pad is skipping around, it definately shouldnt be because of a "worm". The possibility of inappropriate spyware and remote access hacker files however should be addressed.

Just antivirus software alone will help noone. Protecting from spyware and protecting your IP address are needed first, and that means you'd want to purchase a firewall, antispyware, and antivirus software. Buying an internet security suite combines all three programs and lowers your price.

You want free? Try Zone Alarm (free version of firewall), Adaware (free spyware software), and Avast (free antivirus software). This is a great free combo.

If you want to pay for the best Suite, I would purchase Zone Alarm Suite. Thats the best and easiest to use, in my opinion. Norton is huge and inneffective. Mcafee misses too much.

HOWEVER, the skipping is probably related to a defective touchpad OR her PC just not having enough memory. Sounds like a PC thats been around the block a few times!

Step 1: Run a top internet security suite's battery of software to eliminate the chances her PC is truly infected. Macafee alone isnt the solution. Try the Free combo if money is tight.

Step 2: Call the PC's support number and ask them for a telephone walkthru for a possible free solution.

Step 3: Locate an AUTHORIZED repair center for your laptop. ASK the support folks before you hang up on them!

Best of Luck!

Good luck!

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.

download firefox for free, Just have a try:
