The Zlob trojan was discovered in April 2005 and just about every major antivirus engine on the planet should have a defense against it by now. The reason why it's still being found in your registry is possibly because you didn't disable System Restore before running the scan. To disable system restore temporarily, do the following:

1 Click Start.
2 Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
3 On the System Restore tab, check Turn off System Restore or Turn off System Restore on all drives.
If you do not see the System Restore tab, you are not logged on to Windows as an Administrator.
4 Click Apply.
5 When you see the confirmation message, click Yes.
6 Click OK.

To re-enable system restore later, do the following:

1 Click Start.
2 Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
3 On the System Restore tab, uncheck Turn off System Restore or Turn off System Restore on all drives.
If you do not see the System Restore tab, you are not logged on to Windows as an Administrator.
4 Click Apply.
5 When you see the confirmation message, click Yes.
6 Click OK.

As far as your question about McAfee or Norton goes, the answer in my opinion is "neither". Both programs will slow down your computer and really aren't that good at their job, although Norton does have the edge over McAfee (my professional opinion). I'd recommend AVG (www.grisoft.com), if you dig around there you'll find a free version for home use and it's just fantastic. Good luck!

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.

download firefox for free, Just have a try:
