Suddenly a vertical bar appears on webpage and it stops working(page does not accept commands). Norton showed an intrusion with high risk. What can be done?

I highly doubt the virus is originating from mozilla.org, i'm willing to bet all the money in the world that it isn't really coming from there.

Norton should have popped up with recommended actions like quarantine or repair. Take one of those actions and it should be remedied. Since you didn't give the name of the virus nobody can give you removal instructions or a tool to remove it.

I assume Norton could not fix it. Did it quarantine it? If it quarantined it you can just delete it from the quarantine section. If not try this online scan.

You can run a free online scan from Trendmicro. When I have tested it it takes some time to run it but it may be time well spent if it can fix any problems.

Download and run http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
