easy-to-use website builder, etc. when you register a domain
name through them for $6/year.

All the free webhosting services seem to bother you with spam
and/or advertising and/or pop-up windows and do not give
you your own domain name.

How can you tell that they are not just trying to sell you their product under the guise that you are not adequated protected. And if you have spyware and virus protection through you ISP, and firewall with Windows, is that really sufficient? If not how much do you need?

When I go to control panel/add & remove programs, the only McAfee thing present is called McAfee Uninstaller. It looks like a no-brainer.

But they say McAfee has up to 300 registers that have to be unchecked by hand. Would you have advice how to do this.

Do I have to open the hidden files?

Do I have to be in Safe Mode since internet connection will not be operating?

Also have Windows Defender on board. Is this easy to uninstall? And how to do?

Any other advice about uninstall?

There is some kind of malware or virus on my computer that automatically closes Antivirus or spyware programs, it also won't let me open up Microsoft Works wordprocessor, I did a search with Microsoft malicious software remover and it said it found malicious software called PWS:Win32/Sinowal.gen but it could not remove it. I need to be able to determine when computers are locked and unlocked by users. Unlocking produces an Event ID of 528, Type 7. How can I audit when the computer is locked since, from what I can tell, there is no Event ID produced.

I received an e-mail from someone claiming to ba an attorney with the Yahoo Lotto Draw Board notifing me of a very large amount of money I have won. They are claiming that there was an online random drawing done from members of Yahoo, Aol, MSN etc... and that I won. That I was to contact this person to make arrangements for my money to be sent to me. I've been tole by several people that it's a SCAM!!! I received a prank call this morning from (773)-602-1916. It was a person impersonating one of my customers. They hung up as soon as I said, "Wait a minute. Who is this"? Am getting a lot of "spam" & unwanted mail some are dated 2038!! Have been in touch with bt broadband done what was suggested & am getting up to 10/12 a day! It is very worrying as I have no idea who or where they are coming from! Have got good Antivires installed so need some suggestions please!
