Which email account are you using? Yahoo?

The attachments could be blocked, or it could be a virus, or maybe your computer does not have an association for the file type of the attachment i.e. the attachment could be a .DOC file but you do not have MS Word installed so the attachment cannot be automatically oped. Although usually you are prompted to choose from a list of programs. Is this what is happening when you try and open the attachment ?

If it is giving you a message that says something along the lines of not knowing what to open it with - then do this:
Go to "Control Panel" Click on "Folder Options" Click on "File Type". Make some changes.
My computer came with a 30 day trial of some photo viewing program - when I did not call to purchase it the program stopped functioning, but the "File Type" was still directing all photos to be opened using it. I just had to direct it to the photo program I wanted to use. My Power Point does not show up on the File Type list so I just down load any PPS files and then open Power Point and then open the downloaded file.

Chances are you are using Microsoft Outlook which blocks your access to various file attachments considered (by Microsoft) to be potentially dangerous for your PC. The workaround, from my prior experience, may involve something as complex as finding your registry files and editing them; a feat that is also a little dangerous.

Yet an easy workaround is possibly getting an on-line free email account from providers like Google, Yahoo, Microsoft (Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, and so on), and having the file attachment email resent to any of these providers who will allow you to download your file attachment without it being blocked from your access as Outlook does. That may be an easier and quicker solution than tweaking your Outlook to allow Outlook to allow access to these file attachments that it deems as a threat to your system.

hi, try a more secure browser.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

download firefox for free:

The easier work around is to send it in zip format.
