I get these e-mails from overseas all the time asking for my help transferring money, or sometimes they say that they I am the last living relative of some dead guy in Africa (I'm Italian) and he's left lots of money to me. What do I do to make them stop? They never directly ask for any personal information but ask me to reply to their personal e-mail. The last one I got I replied 'stop being a sorry sack of s hit and get a real job'. But I would really like for these e-mails to go away permanently. Anybody else receive these?

Guys it's my first time to be needing your help here. please give me helpful answers... thanks in advance..

last night, i accidentally clicked onto a porno site in my email and it sent me some viruses:

1. message prompt (not sure if it's the correct term so please do correct me if i am wrong) that says: file missing (then the name of the file)

2. a command prompt

3. then the dial-up-window automatically shows up everytime i open my pc.


> now, i scanned it with panda platinum... after which,numbers 1 and 2 were gone BUT number 3 is still there. also the red X that says my PC is infected is still there. it doesn't really interfere with my PC's performance but the dial-up-window and red X mark really annoy me because i don't really want the idea of having a virus in my PC!

i really want to get rid of the red X!!!

i suspect my friend has been using my pc whenever i'm out. i have enable for password in the screensaver setting. but he still can enter without removing my password. it is possible enter without changing my password.

this free scan pops up every time. i've tried to remove it but its still there when i go back on the internet. is there a way to remove it completely from my computer. it is also on all of the other user accounts on my computer.

Repeatedly AVG has scanned my system and has found 14 viruses related to my Java applet which is on my system for chatting. I need information on what could be at hand in this situation. Are these spyware-related? Do they breed every time I start my computer up? It reports these viruses but has no success in healing them. Is the code for them hidden in my temporary files and is constantly rewriting itself? Worse, is the applet reporting my chat conversations to an unknown third party? Is there an alternate anti-virus scanner freeware program I can locate to get a "second opinion" of these infections? Is there any possibility AVG would report false viruses in order to make its product status seem more consumer-worthy? Are Trojan viruses as detrimental a force in home computers as they seem? No financial information goes through my computer, only personal information. I doubt any of it could be harmful to me, unless the record of my participation in online chat were suspect...

Recently had quite a few virus caused by the lack of the vunerability patch in microsoft. my comp was secure , at all angles . Due to above something got in and duplicated the windows valid licence box, telling me to click yes as it was secure, PESTTRAP(Do not go there)told me I had a virus and to subscribe, managed to eventually shake it off, but it opened the doors of hell, nt back door , I spy , others which totally block all of your communication, updates wouldnt download,on anti virus, microsoft, printer and webcam drivers taken out,something was even answering my questions on help sites, then on checking closed answers my questions were nowhere to be seen. I have now removed these via ewido. I am win xp home IE6 Bband option 2, all of my internet , email settings have been changed. I dont understand if I need Lan, Proxy.? I do know that my router is voyager 205 BT bband , I never used to see a dialup connection box, but think I was local settings,tried sys restore what do i do?

I am pretty sure I have a virus, but my norton will not pick it up, and I am pretty sure I got it in here as a few weeks back I clicked on something someone put intheir question and my computer restarted.
Here are the problems. We use windows XP
The registry keeps having problems, everytime I run the registry mechanic, it picks something up, Norton won't allow me to fix anything with the disk doctor, but I can run it to diagnos, but it won'tcheck or fix errors in the Security descriptors, and skips file data and surface text. Today, my norton closed by itself, andI cannot run my kodak easy share program. The kodak program will open in safe mode, but not on normal mode. Any ideas, suggestions, please help my. I really want to get the kodak program to work as we got married this weekend and I want to tranfer the pictures

i downloaded porn blockers in the past and deleted them because i got sick of it whenever it would block a completely normal site just because it had one bad word. is there any porn blockers taht dont do that, it would know whether if it is a porn site it not or do they not exist yet
