Nod32 is good and will slow down your laptop the least.
Avoid Norton, McAfee and trend as they will really slow your system.
In terms of stoping viruses none of the programs available is much better than any other so pick one which is updated regularly and does not slow your system too much.

hi, perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus and protect your PC. but you need to pay for the software

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

download firefox for free:

I found The Shield Pro 2006 very good. It is really fast and works very efficiently. It is quite cheap and moreover you may buy it with discount:

I use AVG, it's free. There are many others that are good as well. I've used Norton's and McAfee in the past as well, those are good too.
