It's your choice actually. If you feel that you browse internet websites that are prone to getting spywares--then I would. But you don't have to run your spyware every day. Also, make sure you update your spyware program regularly.

Absolutely and more...!

Make sure your AV, spyware, anti-adware, etc are updated. I run my AV updates daily and do a daily scan. Never had a problem with viruses in the 12 years I spent computing.

Do you have a firewall installed? ZoneAlarm is OK, but there are others available and are free.

Make sure Windows (& if you use IE) are updated.

You should get a DSL router if you have DSL service.

Daily sounds a bit excessive. I'd do it once a week, or every 3 days at most.

Unless you can schedule these to run on times when you're off the computer (such as while you're sleeping), then daily sounds fine.

On top of a Virus scan, it's a very good practice. Daily might be a little anally retentive unless you think something is wrong with your system, but go ahead do it weekly or so, that should be fine.

yes, many sites have spyware attached. the spyware goes on your computer when you visit the sites. microsoft has a free antispyware software that you can use. it is called Microsoft Windows Defender. Scan your computer every day or every other day if you can.

Spybot search and destroy is a very weak program. I recommend you download superantispyware. It will remove any and all spies. It is VERY effective and it is free.
