Someone recently contacted me on my unlisted cell phone number. She said it was on the internet as well as other stuff about me--including a comment I posted about cars. How did she do that without accessing databases that cost money to use?

I have a netgear wireless router that my roomates and I use to connect to the internet. The problem we have though is that our neighbors keep connecting to OUR internet through the wireless router, and it is completely slowing my connection speed down. Is there a way that I can set up some kind of password to protect against this?

I have already gone to "internet options" and HAVE cleared cookies and history/ sites visited. That works for the drop down of sites visited, but there seams to be a 'super-cookie' that I cant get rid of on certain sites only.... Even after I clear history, if I type a letter (ie."C") into my address bar, it will still display select sites visited... is there a way around this????

I have taken just about as much as I can handle from those bloody pop ups, and am scared of people getting hold of my credit card details when I pay for things online. Not very technically minded, so need something easy to install (and preferably free) to stop the pop ups and those pesky spies !!

My monitor turns blank (blacks out) every once in a while, and it's becoming bothersome, because its increasing in frequency. Does it have to do with this site I visited that made my monitor flash to the beat of the background music? How do I fix it? I've already ran a full system virus scan, ad-ware scan, and spyware scan to no avail.

All day every day I get pop-up messages that tell me it has found critial system errors and that if I don't repair them then my computer might...(everything bad). when I visit the website on the message it wants me to buy a clean-up program. Do I need this?

....It started happening about two months ago...a little after it started I had a system crash due to power outtage and had to reboot from original shipped files....it still popped up...I have tried system restore a few times....but hasn't worked.
...I am connected to the internet at start-up(roadrunner)...but it does pop up even when not using internet

.......any recommendations?????????
