Do not go with a suite, they only cause problems and you end up paying extra for software you will never use or beta software that does not work. Norton Antivirus is a good program, but the free Grisoft AVG runs close to its achievements. Lately virus infections are down and spyware infections are increasing expositional. Whether you choose Norton or AVG make sure to download Windows Defender. Norton’s Antispyware does not work and Defender is running in the 90 percentile and higher.

Good luck and surf safe!

Both Norton and McAfee are memory hogs and don't do the job in detecting viruses correctly. The antivirus program I recommend is avast antivirus.
www.avast.com
You can try the home version and it's free. Only need to register the program. If you really like it, you can buy the professional version and get far better features that the home version.

I also recommend that you get two spyware/adware removers:
Ad-Aware Personal
www.lavasoft.com
(Ad-Aware Professional can also be bought here)

Spybot Search and Destroy 1.4
www.safer-networking.org
(it's free but if you really like it, can leave a donation)

The 3 combined will help you out plenty.
