I recently moved into my girlfriends and to save transporting my entire PC i took the hard drive out of my tower and bought a USB caddy to connect it to my girlfriends PC. Now I cant get access to my documents folder and whenever I try to open it or anything it always pops up a box saying 'unable to access f:/ My documents access is denied'
My mate told me to try and disable the simple file sharing but we dont have the option to do this and he thinks it because were running Windows XP home version. Any ideas on this would be appreciated because if I cant get into it it looks like im going to have to take it to PC world!

A little info for some-one who missed the dual core lecture.

i have spotted a pc i like the look of to replace the one i am currently using but i am unsure about the processor.

if it says for example AMD Athlon 6400 dual core,
i know i can find the speed lets say in this case it is 2.1Ghz,
does this mean 2 processors each running at 2.1 Ghz. or both running less to produce a total processing power of 2.1 Ghz.

any info on getting round this jargon would be appreciatted

it's 2.2gHZ, is it one that's 1.1 inside of a 1.1 giving me 2.2?

or is it 2, 2.2ghz giving me a theoretical 4.4ghz between two programs or am I just flat out wrong about a lot of things.

Well I was originally going to get a GeForce 7300 GS, but I've decided to go ahead and just order a 7600 GS or GT from Newegg.com. I'll just have it installed at CompUSA or something. But anyways, I was wondering, which of these cards should I get for the money? I was looking in the $130 price range? what are the chances of losing all data on all partitions as opposed to losing all data on that single partition that actually caused the crash (when trying to access a certain program, for instance)?

i bought a PC Line PCL-K350 wireless keyboard and mouse pack yesterday i set it all up correctly and it was working but now my keyboard wont work the mouse still works no bother i have tried uninstalling the keyboard and re installing it but its still not working even i have changed the batteries somebody plz help

hi, im looking at upgrading my pc but not sure about the CPU.
At the moment i have a pentium4 2.8 ghz that ive had for last 3 yrs.The CPU,s im looking at are either an AMD 64 2.0 ghz x 2 dual core or an AMD 64 3800+ 2.4ghz, I use the pc for gaming mainly, what would you choose?.
would i see much performance increase?

I tried to install a new hard drive on my computer it but it would not recognise it so I tried changing the position and cables but now my computer will not start. When I switch it on it just makes a loud long beep followed by silence then another loud beep this repeats untill I cut the power. Any ides as to what the problem is and how to solve it ???
