I looked into my device manager and I have ?? next to the DVD-Rom and DVD-RW drives, what could of happened?? Please help me!

maybe it only wants to play Dixie Chicks CD's

You can remove the dvd drives from device menager and reboot your computer. Also, if there are special drivers for your dvd drive, you may be prompted to intell them at that time. Make sure you unplug all USB or other storage devices (flash drives, cameras, ipods ...)

When your computer reboots, if all is well, the computer will correcly recognize the dvd drives. If not, it will place them in the same state they currently are in. You can then right click properties the dvd drive in device manager and look at the errors the properties page has listed and post that here.
