I have a pentium 3 desktop with 512ram and a 734mhz, is it compatible? if not what should the speed be to get the required compatibility?

Does that mean if I don't have the systems disk, Windos or what not, what can I do? I have already double checked all cables, floppy drive, etc. HELP! And where's the cheapest place to purchase it?

I have 79 gb of unpartitioned disk space , and when I try a clean install of windows xp there , in gives me the bsod , and tels me something about setupdd.sys . The suse Linux installer also gives me errors with that disk .When I format the disk from windows , the windows installer from the cd detects it as part of another partition , witch it dose not recognize as ntfs , even though my existing windows installation sees the partitions correctly . I don't think the hard disk is damaged .Any software that can repair the hard disk without having to erase the whole thing?

Assuming one shelf of 14 drives (12 active, 2 spare). Will use RAID 1+0 for performance and data protection.

If two databases are going to be fairly heavy with mixed reads and writes, is creating two pools of 6 drives better than one pool of 12 drives?

hum... i wanna ask do i ned to buy thermal paste for an AMD CPU? Since there was a plastic pad sticked under the heatsink for the Intel's one... so I assume there will be one too for the AMD's...or not?

I bought a preconfigured pc from packard bell with windows vista and a HDD of 500GB. Vista wasn't working properly. Because my employer gave me Vista Home Premium for free, I decided to reinstall Vista. My computer works much better now, but when I go to 'My Computer' he only recognises 127GB of HDD. When I go to BIOS, it locates a 500GB HDD.

Can someone help me so I'm able to access the entire HDD in windows?

For computer techs: do you actually feel a 2.2Ghz dual core should be sold as a 3.7Ghz computer? Or a 2.4 D.C. be sold as a 4.45Ghz?

(2.2G DC with run 2 threats of info at 2.2 each - but there are actually graphics programs and games that need a patch or the DC will actually run them too slow)

Personally thinking this is flat out false advertisement and would like other's thoughts. Thanks

I recently moved and hooked up my keyboard and mouse. It is a Mi innovations cordless set. The mouse works and I can't get the keyboard to work. I ran the disc again and still no keyboard, i also changed the batteries and pressed the reset button on the bottom. Still nothing. Please help me! Goin crzy!

I just got a new PC with Vista and hooked up my WUSB54G. I downloaded the Vista drivers from Linksys. Now when I go to access the internet, it is VERY, VERY slow to load anything. Also, all the applications on the system start up and run slow when I have the WUSB54G drivers installed. When I disconnect the WUSB54G or disable it, the systems moves at normal speed. I'm guessing some interrupt is getting overloaded, hence the system slowdown, but I'm not sure where to look or what to fix. Thanks.

I Wanted To Know Can I Use A Riser Card To Provide Extra PCI Slots? My Mother Board Cam With 3 PCI Slots 1. I Use For My Ethernet. 2. I Use For A USB 2.0 Card & 3. I Use For My SATA Controller. Want I Want To Know Can Take Out The SATA Card Put I A Rise Card With 3 PCI & Use The For My Sata And Have The Other 2 Open. Know I Know That The Won’t Line Up With The Expansions Slots But I Might Be Able To Use Them For Something Else.

the the word back up used in the way in "a previous state"....like when a vehicle backs up

or is it used as a noun like a back up copy of a CD or document.

How is the word back up used in computers?

I know XP uses restore points...which I could be like backing up to a previous state, but then what is a true backup of a hard drive? i'm a bit confused. Thanks.

Is it possible that the mic jet at the back of the cpu is dirty or malfunctioning? the mic is not working properly with this computer im using. i used this mic before on another computer and it worked well. i also tried testing the hardware. it seems working when i plug in the mic.(u know when u plug in something u can see it,on ur computer.) do you think that the mic jet should be changed. the speakers are fine tho.

to me it's not the driver's problem nor the mic's problem....

anyone expert in this please answer me ur opinion or suggestions

I have 1 motherboard (Asus P4P800 With a 3.2GHz CPU,a Graphic card and a Power supply installed it will not power up the Monitor. It is almost as if there is no Bios program.I have never installed a mother board before so I am baffled.Any ideas?

the keys with more than one function like the numbers and the puncuations marks are somehow screwed up i think my daughter pressed a key on the key board that only allows it to type the upper functions like the symbols instead of the numbers can anyone help
