Is it possible that the mic jet at the back of the cpu is dirty or malfunctioning? the mic is not working properly with this computer im using. i used this mic before on another computer and it worked well. i also tried testing the hardware. it seems working when i plug in the mic.(u know when u plug in something u can see it,on ur computer.) do you think that the mic jet should be changed. the speakers are fine tho.

to me it's not the driver's problem nor the mic's problem....

anyone expert in this please answer me ur opinion or suggestions

The default setting for the mic is "mute". You will have to unmute it. If it is already unmuted, there might be a problem with your sound drivers. I know your sound works, but there are several drivers for your sound card. There is midi, synth., game, mic, etc...

FYI, the default color for the mic plug is pink on the newer computers. Some computers have the capability of supporting a 5.1, or a 7.1 audio configuration which leaves the mic plug to be reassigned as bass output. You need to see if this is set on your system. To use your mic, you will need to set it for 2 desktop speakers for the mic plug to work.

Look in your control panel, sounds and devices or whatever it is and see if your mic is muted.
