There could be 4 reason for this:

1.you havent installed all the hardware i.e. Ram, Hard Drive, Or you havent installed it properly.
2. You have no power lead going to the monitor.
3. you may need to go into the bios and check you graphic settings
4. Install all drivers/ Software

you need to make sure the power supply is correctly fitted more than one connection may have to be made.
the powers supply unit you have may not be compatible with your mother board.
you may have failed to put thermal grease or tape between the CPU and its heatsink.
you did not mention the system RAM, have you installed it correctly?
have you connected all the panel connector correctly (not just in the right place but the correct way around).
read the manual that came with the motherboard it should tell you how to troublesoot that board.

sorry but i built my two systems some time ago. i used DFI motherboards, Crucial RAM, AMD processors, an ATI radeon graphics card.
have you (if your GPU needs it) connected a power supply to the graphics card? no connect one if still nothing then you may have defective compnents.
I had a new Gigabyte board that would not work from the date it was purchased. components do not always work out the box. a sad fact of life that due to the nature of the way compnents are made some are defective and slip through to the end user. you may need to return one or more of the item you purchased for replacement or repair.

is the monitor actually powered up at the mains and is the button on the from turned on?
sorry to say it but some of the simple things that you should not have to say like the power switch while sounding like calling you stupid (i'm not) we have all made that mistake at least once. connected everything and in the excitement we forget to turn on something vital.
are all the drives connected properly.
oh and please tell me you purchased seagate hard drives?
NO, be prepared to replace the one or more you have now within 12 months especially if western digital.
