i just want to know what will be better for jobs vb or vb.net.can i go straight for vb.net without learning vb?

I think VB is better for client-server development while VB.NET (currently) is better for web development.

But, it seems more and more businesses are moving away from VB, since Microsoft stopped releasing tools for it in late 1998.

Wow, that's almost a decade ago. I guess it shows how good VB was.

.NET is where Microsoft is putting all their money. So, if that's the direction they are going, it doesn't hurt to follow along.

So, VB.NET is better for getting a job.

VB.net has all features in VB 6.0, but they are a little bit different. VB.net was implemented by following Java which OOP language. So some method in VB.Net similar with Java.

If I would like to suggest, just learn VB.Net directly.

vb.net is the better one and you can go straight for vb.net without learning vb

In vb.net is that script is used for all animation purposes

Yes, they are very similar... VB.NET is just a newer version that Microsoft implemented... have fun with it too, VB can be a lot of fun
