My mom accidently deleted some file that controlled the volume. I learned this when i opened limewire to play music and nothing would play. For those of you familiar with LimeWire you know that there is the play bar in the lower right hand corner. When i click on a song to play not only do i not hear anything but limewire shows no evidence that a song is even being played. I went to the control panel and sound devices to check if it was deleted. It said that there was NO sound device detected. Unfortunately this is all i know of the problem. But NO sound will play anywhere. My speakers are fine also. I use Windows XP and my computer is an EMachines model. If anyone has any info on how to fix this problem please let me know. Thanks.

My keyboard works when the computer boots up but it freezes when I am about to type my password in my profile. What seems to be the problem? They say it has something to do with BIOS and stuff but I already checked the Boot Menu (F12 while the computer boots). The keyboard also works if I'm in the troubeshooting menu (F8). I can run the tests and pass them but thr tests doesn't help as well. I can't figure it out. Someone please help. Thanks so much!

I got a new 250gb hdd, it is a thrid disk ide 2 master, in the system bios it is 250gb but when i go to my pc or disk mangenmet its only 128gb i have fromated it and still only got 128gb. what do i need to do to get the full 250gb. Thanks

The nut is recessed inside a narrow plastic housing which I hope not to destroy. The goal is to move wiring into an enclosed rack with only a small hole at the top. The full face plate will not fit, so I want to remove the ports 6 at a time, as they were manufactured. I have been to several hardware stores with no luck. The Ortronics model code is OR-PHD5E6U48. The screw is a number 4, with a 40 thread per inch thread count. The nut is not much larger, but I do not have a precise measurement.

The alternative is to re-patch all of the cabling. Ouch.

i really need help. i have a problem with my PC. for about a week or two every time that i try to turn ON my computer it does not recognise my Windows. I am running Windows XP Professional. I have to format my computer daily.. every time i turn it ON> i am thinking to leave it ON all the time...because i am tired of installing Windows again and again. I was cleaning my PC for space and i deleted my sound device by mistake i didnt even know what it was, i didnt get a good look at what it said so i cant remember what kind it was, i restarded my comp and it said that it found it but i the sound still wont play, plus it said that it wasnt configured properly i think, and it didnt have any drivers, but i cant download any becuz i dont know what kind i have, so i realy need to know how do i see what kind of card i have?, and i need to know how to get my sound card working again?
