The best mouse for everyday use is the one that you're most comfortable with. Go to your local computer store and find the mouse that best fits your needs.

currently im using a mouse made by logitech called the MX518. its made for games but i use it alot for otherthings just for the simple fact that the people at logitech took the time to make a mouse that fit the curves of your hand so that you didnt have to strain any. and it has some useful features like a back and forward button for switching internet pages and a handy button to control your taskbar. i love this mouse to death.

Logitech makes good mice. However, if you are going to use it often for long periods of time, especially for graphic development or manipulation, animation etc, get a graphic tablet. I started having problems with my finge and was developing symptoms of carpal tunnel, so I switched to a graphic tablet and things couldn't be better. Good luck!
