my system dectects the new drive and says it installed it but when i look at my list of drives it only has the 2 ATA drives and no sata drive their? the bios says its their also? whats going on>

We have a new tall dell rack with about 10 servers going in it today. Would it be easier for me (as far as wire management) to completely install one server with all the wires first, or else I was thinking to put all the servers in with NO wiring.. .and save all the wiring for last? What do you think?

My motherboard blew and it cost me £100 to have it replaced, including a new graphics card. The technician ensured me it was due to a power surge, but what baffles me is that I have 2 PCs connected to the same outlet. The other one is OK Could this be the decider tho.....The PC had 19 days left on its 12 month warranty.

I upgraded my VGA card from Sparkle 32mb to AXLE FX5500 128mb card with my AMD Athlon 800Mhz CPU and Windows XP operating system. Upon installation, there was a window advising incompatibility and asked if to continue anyway. When I proceeded, while playing games requiring 128mb VGA card, the display image is blinking.

my flash drive no longer works. It is recognized by my computer. I am running win2k, and when i go to system>hardware>device manager, i can't get a directory listing. Any ideas? When i unplug the device, i get a message saying that the device was unsafely unplugged..."

Anyone ever have anything happen like this? Should i toss it, or try a different approach to getting it working again?

What type of cards go in a PCI-E 1-15x? I know video cards go into 16x speed. This mobo I am thinking of getting has one PCI-4x and two PCI-E 1x?

Here is url is you do not know what I mean. Network cards from what I know use PCI and maybe PCI-X. Video cards use AGP 4/8x
and more commonly PCI-E 16x. Sound cards also use PCI correct?
