Bestbuy and other computer stores sell KeyKleen and other products that are made to clean between the keys without popping them off. You can pop them off and use Qtips with rubbing alcohol on them, just make sure the qtip is not saturated, but damp enough to do something. You're really lucky the keyboard still works. Sometimes when you spill things into them, they quit.
Good luck

as far as the keys go, unplug it and then use alcohol wipes to get the gunk from the top of the keyboards. you can use canned air but I'm assuming that the soda or whatever was spilled will have turned gummy by now pretty much trapping everrything down there. If you REALLY want to get it cleaned, unscrew the bottom screws holding everything in, carefully disassemble the unit and you can reach the bottom of the keyboard and clean thoroughly there. kind of a hassle but not really sure how far you wanted to go through with this. OR have the bastard pay for a new one. doesn't want to pay? steal his cd's/dvd's and pawn them off.

My wife has accidenlty spilt coke into my desktop keyboard. What i did, is basically copy all the keyboard keys down on a sheet of paper. Then pop all the keys off. Put all your keys in a bowl full of hot scalding water (be careful and don't burn yourself). after popping all your keys off. Make sure you set aside the cord that plugs into your tower. you don't wanna get any of that part wet. After, all that, take the rest of your keyboard to the sink, and rinse if off with hot water. . . after all that is done, make sure every part of the keyboard, and the keys are thoroughly dry, then put everything back together. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Sorry, greater than a number of keyboards in short while won't be attainable :( a minimum of no longer in case you like to scrub them properly. formula 409 and Q-advice paintings properly, besides the indisputable fact that that's a tedious interest. do no longer spray the keyboard... dip the Q-tip in some 409 or comparable air purifier and sparkling away. you ought to use a delicate rag dipped contained in the cleansing answer for the "bezel" area and the tops of the keys.

hello,
If it was liquid, maybe a new keyboard. Office depot or office max are low priced. Liquid can cause the connections not to work so keys won't respond. It is possable to open the keyboard(do not remove space bar) by prying carefully, then carefully clean with alcohol and q-tips.
Best of luck
God bless

First turn off your computer.
Use a Q-Tip and alchohol very carefully. Let dry before using.
A small keyboard brush is helpful too.
Also, if needed, you could get a keyboard keycap remover called "Capsoff" tool. Use the keyword "Capsoff" to find it on the web.

Press the F5 key and it will refresh, otherwise use a vacuum cleaner and usual dry cleaning products, but turn the pc off first and leave time to let it dry out completely before booting back up.

Dish soap and water. Just keep dipping it and sloshing it around then dry it for a couple of days. I've done this a few times with good results.
I knew someone who used a dishwasher on his keyboard - not a good idea as the dishwasher soap is corrosive.

compressed air is good if the stuff is dry. If it is sticky, use a lightly moistened cotton swab (q-tip, etc.) to clean the keys and in beteween when the computer is OFF.
