How do I unlock more pipe lines on a video card?

I have an xfx 6800 xt. Ive heard you can unlock more pixel pipelines. How?

Google it you prob will find it with ease. Yes I have heard you can. I dont know either. I have read the forums but dont remember the process or site i was at. :(
