I have a Digimatrix Barebone computer made by ASUS. It still works, but when playing a DVD, the sound quality is not the best, has a like rain sound interfierance. I install two diferent memory modules, the memory ship manufacter and ship part number for each one is as follows:
1) Nanya - NT5DS16M8AT-7K
2) Apacer - HYB25D256800BT-7
Could this damage my computer?
Please explain answer, I'm not an expert. Thanks a lot for your time and interest.

when i start my computer, it runs at 60 degree celcius. when i use it for one hour it would get heated up. i found that i could not run my games properly as it was when starting my computer. should i add fans to my cpu?

I just finished building my computer and I was starting it up when I ran into a problem. My motherboard does not have a graphics card built in, so I bought a PCI card and inserted it into the PCI slot. The problem is that, to have any graphics I need a driver, but to install the driver (which I have on a disk), I need graphics. What am I doing wrong?

one day when i was trying to access my cdrom, it was not in "my computer" and when i checked out whats the problem it said that the cdrom cannot be installed because the driver is corrupt or missing... what do i do?

There doesnt seems to be many motherboard out there on market for Intel conroe 2. Do motherboard manufacturers release then same date as release date July 18 ? I dont want to be ripped off on motherboard purchase because there are only couple of boards out there and they are all very expensive.

I wanted to purchase a new graphics card that requires 325W min. and my power supply is 295W max. The problem is when i went to a local best buys... the salesperson told me that for Sony computers, their atx power supply is smaller (custom) to fit into my cramped sony case. Is it true that the ones that are sold to the public different size power supply? How can I get upgrade my power supply which would work with my case?

I know that other systems with 2 separate processors on a motherboard would not function as a single "super processor". If a specific application or game was not coded to take advantage of 2 processors, there was no advantage.

Now someone mentioned to me that they in fact run as one processor, in effect doubling the clock speed. I don't know if this person knows what they are talking about or not, and I just wanted to know:

Does a dual core processor run like a single processor, or like a dual processor motherboard setup?

My current Drive size is 16gb, when i erase a files they erase perfectly no problem but then I look at the Hard Drives properties and there iss no change in the Drive size even after i restart the computer. I highligted all the folders inside the hardrive and I got 48gb of used space and when i use the properties i get 59 of used space even though I deleted all those files totalling 11gb. Ive never done disk defragmenting but if I did would it help or make the matters worse.

I was wondering if windows XP recognizes the RAID array or not, and if in defragging it happens to reorganize the file structure accordingly. I would imagine it does, but with as much trouble as I went through getting this setup to work, I'd hate to pitch it on a hunch.

I would like to buy a DVD / CD burner which can be hooked up via USB externaly. Please suggest a good brand considering speed , performance and data reliability. I plan on using it for everyday media burning/copying, also want to back up my Laptop once in a while. Thanks for you advices.

My dvd/cd-rom drive wont work anymore, and I just used it the other day and now it wont read any discs, which really ticks me off cuz i just bought a new game the other day without knowing this and they wont take it back cuz its been opened (but thats another story). My dvd drive just makes a humming sound, and the disc does spin, it just wont read... if someone could help me that would be great!

We had a really bad thunder and lightening storm the other night and since then none of the usb ports work, i have tried different devices in different ports and nothing works. The rest of the computer works and the mouse does work in another computer. The computer states that the usb is working correctly. Was just wondering if maybe the lightening might have messed up the usb ports and nothing else. Can someone help me, please? And what can I do to fix it? I have tried all kinds of things.
