Keeping your PC running cool is crucial to it's performance and longevity. It is hard to say if adding fans will solve your problem without knowing more specifics about your computer equipment and even details such as the temperature of the room.

Yes.
One thing to check and clean. Also make sure your fan is working.
Look for the intake for the air flow. I found mine[HP] on the front.[my fan is on the back top] I tipped back the PC and looked up under the front cover. That is where the dust collects. vacuum in out and if you can not reach it use use an artist paint brush or something that will fit. Hold the vacuum close by so the dust and dirt will go into it. turn off the computer while you do this so it wont pull the dust through itself.
Did you find a thick coating of lint and dust? I did.

Your computer NEEDS to be cooled, either by fans or by other means. If your computer doesn't have fans or another system in place, you should not use it until you have installed one.

Over heating computer componants WILL damage them, even to the point of absolute failure. So, unless you want an expensive paperweight, GET SOME FANS IN THAT SUCKER NOW!
