Yikes, and don't try to put a PCI card in a PCI-e slot, either! The PCI Express controller can dedicate a lane to emulate a PCI connection, but it must go to a physical PCI slot. Definitely don't try to mix them, you'll just damage your motherboard and the card(s)...

Based on what I'm reading, it would fit but wouldn't work.
A PCI card could probably work in a PCIe slot though.

No, it wouldn't fit and even if it did, you could damage the card and the slot in the process if you attempted to use it. DO NOT even try it.

Absolutely agree with conrad. Don't try it, you'll just ruin the card. They are completely different specs.
