Overclocking can be done by increasing the voltage to the CPU core (very dangerous - leads to early burnouts if you increase it too much), increasing the front-side bus speed (may not work on all mobos) or increasing the clock ratio. If you do any of those you should also change the CPU fan for a stronger one as you will be generating more heat plus consider putting in another exhaust fan. You would be better off adding more RAM if you have less than 512 or changing hard drives if you do not have a 7800 RPM drive.

Your motherboard may have dip switches that you can adjust and some BIOS provide the option to multiply as well. It depends on your motherboard.
