In "My Documents", when the contents are viewed in thumbnails, the "My music" folder has a picture of an album-art.

The album art, which I deleted the picture a long time ago along with the songs is still on the tumbnail of "My Music" in "My Documents". How do you get rid of it?

It says in the instructions to uninstall existing audio programs, but I don't know what audio programs are used by my original sound card. I honestly don't know how to tell an audio program from others. Can I just leave the programs alone and put the new soundcard in and use the software that came with it?
I have windows xp, and my computer does detect when you connect something new and can connect to dsl if necessary.

When the iMac came out... that was the worst.
Mine crashed the first time I scanned a large file and attempted to open it in Photoshop...
Then the machine would not give me back my CD.
The operator on the "help" line would only tell me about the "secret paperclip button" if I agreed to fork over $75 for some kind of maintenance call fee....

Peoples Ipods are now suffering from a lack of security (getting stolen) and Zune is becoming more appealing.

Okay,
I am using a Brand New Dell XPS 210 running Vista.
So far, I am pretty sure that everything meets or surpasses the recommended system requirments (above the minimum) except for my graphics card.

I am using the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3000

I've searched all over for information, but haven't returned succesfull. The PC game Crysis says it can run on 1-3 year old computers. The game has not been released yet, so no one can be completely sure.

The Minimum Requirments for Crysis say these graphics cards: Nvidia 6600 or ATI X1600 - Shader Model 2.0

I am not sure if these are stronger or weaker than the Media Accelerator 3000.
I know I have shader model 4

Some things seem to qualify and some do not, so I am wondering if somebody can clear things up.

thank you,
Solar

I took off the Intel fan on the motherboard and cleaned it with dust cleaner. I also cleaned the power supply with dust cleaner. Then I connected everything back and now my computer will startup for 5-10 seconds and shutdown right when I get passed the BIOS screen and get to the Windows XP waiting screen. Did I screw something up?

I think you can find it somewhere on a pc if you know where your looking... which I don't. Is it in a notepad file somewhere?

I have legit XP Pro, and have it on official CD... but am planning to format (after working out best way to format hard-drive of sensitive info).... and the cd-key might come in useful.

Thanks.

On my desktop i got this message when i tried to turn it on...

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage from your computer. If this is the first time youve seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again follow these steps:
Disable or uninstall any antivirus, disk defragmentation or backup utilities, check your hard drive configuration, check for any updated drivers, run drive/F to check for hard drive corruption, then restart your computer. Technical info: 73478347834freuijk3 bloah

I cant check for any of that because it wont let me go to the home screen or anything! What do i do? :[

When I first get on my account I insert the disc and nothing comes up. Then I went to my computer to find the CD-ROM drive and I couldn't find it. Isn't the CD-ROM drive under devices with removable storage or not. If it isn't where is it and what's it called.
The only icons I see when I go to my computer are 3 1/2 floppy and Local Disk (C:). Is there a problem?

ok, it was shut down at night, the next morning tried to start it up and it would get to windows loading screen and look like it was booting up, and all of a sudden went blank and the indicator light that shows its on starts blinking, kept turning it off and on until I finally got it started in safe mode ran a virus scan, and it found nothing, bought external hard drive to back up music and pictures, which wasnt easy to do, kept freezing, but got them backed up, then ran a disk check, it shut down on that 3 or 4 times before I finally got the disk check to run all the way through, I couldnt get it boot up in normal mode but one time, took the cover off and blew out the dust but that didnt help either, now it automatically within 2 sec. goes back to blinking indicater light, all the fans are working took cover off to clean some more dust out of it and checked the fans, it runs long enough for me to see the fans running, but still not getting it boot up. No restore disks came with it
