I was in this situation recently myself, and I emailed Dell asking them this specific question, and they said you do have to be a small business to order from that section, and you have to provide a Tax ID number to prove so. I still have a copy of the email if you want me to forward it to you for proof.

Nope. Dell will let anyone order through the Small Business section of the site. They tend of offer better warranties to the "Small Business" buyers, and you get stateside tech support as opposed to the offshore tech support that Home buyers get.

No you do not need a business of any sort to by a business PC. I think that it is better to make on of your on i did that and i think that it is better for you becos you know what you do if you do your home work. I do not like dell that much there good. If you what a deal go to tigerdirect.com they have the best dell of all and egghead.com there grate to good luck and have fun.:)
