I know that there is a new Mac that has the PC hardrive stuff. did that project fail or something? because I cannot find it.

In order to restore it was necessary to pick a date to restore from. In doing so I had picked date before I had purchased WinAntiVirus. Now I have no way ,that I can find, to get WinAntiVirus back, no icons are on my desktop or in my folders or control panel. Could you please advise me what to do? Thank you very much for help in this matter.

I'm a person that likes my various desktop themes. I install them, and then after a while I get bored with them and uninstall them. My problem is that the name of the theme continues to show up in the "Properties" and "Theme" tab. When I try to uninstall the theme, I go into the "Add/Uninstall" program, but it doesn't seem to do anything. I also have a Windows XP. Thanks!

OK so i bought vista and installed and it worked great until i went to play counter strike source. My frame rate went from 100+on XP to below 25 on Vista. Is my current hardware the problem or is it something else, i have p4 prescott, 1.5gb ram, ati all in wonder x1800xl pci-e 256, dvd burner, 80gb hdd, 320gb hdd. Is this normal for this type of hardware or is the problem somewhere else?? I got a 4.2 on the user thing in Vista dont know if thats any help. iIm pretty sure i have the latest drivers any help will be greatly appreciated

I have an nVidia 680i motherboard with pretty good cooling... the CPU usually hangs below 40C which I thought was pretty safe. My question is: How do I go ahead and overclock? How safe is it? After I do the overclock, how hot is too hot? And this is reversable right? If I need software, what do you recommend? Thanks a lot.

I am looking at motherboard / chip combos on a few sites and have realized I can save a TON of $ in building the computer of my dreams, rather than shelling out wasted money in service and peripherals that I already have.

Is there any truth to this?

Can doing this all the time ever harm something or corrupt the hard drive? It takes too long waiting for it to reboot the proper way.

okay so i put in the cd (ghost bootable rev. 8) click on cd-rom ide one which is connected to my cd drive then i get the dos program i want to know what comand promts because i have some but their wrong (i thought in order to get to the menu was (1.c:)(2.cd ghost)(3.ghost) then the menu would appear but dos said they were invalid i just want to know the comand promts to enter ghost menu

okay addware is pain in my side and i have a separete partition of a backup to reboot my hard drive i put in the cd waiting for the dos mode to come up i need the words to enter to acsess that partition to reformat my harddrive to completly wipe my adware that always seems to be in "c:windows/system32"

I received a used computer from my mother that was used in the small church office that she works in. The problem is, nobody ever defragged that computer. I even tried it using Safe Mode. I never even got it to 1% and I left it plugged in and running defrag for about 48 hours. The computer runs on WindowsMe. Is there anything I can do?

I've had me PC for about 18 months and its always run fine, but recently its running slowly.

I defragment it regularly (approx once a month). I run anti-virus and anti-spyware scans once a week (I use Zone Alarm), and I've also run Ad-Aware very recently but it still runs slowly. I run disc cleanup about once a month as well.

Any suggestions about how to solve my problem?

Every time I Safely Remove Hardware, my computer stops recognizing those drives until I restart. I know I'm just doing it wrong, but how do I do it right so that I don't have to restart my computer each time? And please only give me a response that you know is right, I'm sick of getting answers with "Wow that sucks" or other dumb responses cus people just want points.
