If your Recycle Bin is not on your desktop you can find it in Windows Explorer. It is usually located in Start >> All Programs >> Windows Explorer (usually the last program listed, if they are arranged by name). On the left, where it shows all your folders, etc., at the bottom you should see Recycle Bin. There you can empty it, or delete large files, etc.

As for the error you are receiving, I am not sure what to do about it. May be another can help you solve that problem.

Hard to say, but you can get the recycle bin back. I am assuming you are using Windows XP (pro or home). You should install a program called Tweak UI from Microsoft.

Tweak UI is a free program from Microsoft's "Power Toys" collection that lets you customize the user interface. There is a setting which you can reshow the recycle bin.

As for you not being able to delete stuff, if you dont have a recycle bin then I would suggest using shift + delete (not backspace) to delete items. This causes the item to skip the recycle bin and be deleted immediatly!

Hope this helps

1.)What version of Win you got? 2.)Run Disc Cleanup in System Tools. 3.)Run System File Checker in System Tools. After this operations go in Control Panel, call Add/Remove Programs, click Windows Setup and try to install Recycle Bin. After you solve this problem visit adress http://emienco.freehostia.com and enjoy. Best Regards, Neven, for the emienco.

from what I have read a few thing could be happening. One is that your harddrive (where all your data is saved) might be ready to take a dump. You should seriously back up your data before its too late.

Also, click start->run and then type: chkdsk

And let that scan. It might be a simple fix with this program before you go downloading stuff.
