It is possible to recover files with file recovery software. I reccommend Recuva (pronounced "recover"), it is a freeware Windows utility to restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. This includes files emptied from the Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players. It will even bring back files that have been deleted by bugs, crashes and viruses!

if your computer doesn't have any sound.....

Click START
Click Control Panel
Click on System
Click on Hardware
Click on Device Manager
Click on the + by Sound, video, game Contollers

*IF* you see any Yellow & Black ! point or Red X REMOVEE them

Shutdown your computer, NOT RESTART

Wait at least 2 minutes then restart computer

Windows SHOULD find and REinstall the drivers

Note: Even IF you don't see the above mentioned ! or X, just remove the sound card drivers anyway, then do the Shutdown procedure

You can also just go to the folder where the file was, click on "view previous versions," and choose a date before you deleted the file.

If you just deleted the file, it should be in your Recycle Bin. Check for an icon on your desktop that says "Recycle Bin". Double click on the icon and your file should be there.

Good luck!
