Hardware - May 2007

All i can tell you about it is that its a flat screen, Its about one year old, Its an acer and its gone really fuzzy, purple and really unclear.
Im quite sure its out of warranty and i cant afford to buy a new one. So has anyone had this same problem or know of anyways to fix it? I have tried turning it off and leaving it.
Please help its hard writing this now.

I have a gateway solo 1200 it boots up but makes 1 long beep with no display.I have looked for beep codes for it cant find any info i have also removed the cmos battery for 2 days still it does it. If anyone knows what this is or how to fix it let me know please.

Ok.
So I have the new Pinnacle v.11 right and Im just starting to work with HD in it. Im wondering why or how and what it is that I need something about the GPU and that its disactivated. Im wondering if I need to buy a new GPU or I dont know what else to do

Can anyone help? For some reason my computer is not reading my drivers anymore. They don't show up in my computer info, and when I try to burn anything or run anything from these drives my computer keeps saying no drive found.
It was fine the other day, but now they are gone! What happened, and how can I fix it. I tried restore, but nothing changed.

One day it just shut down BUT the power button/light on my computer is still on. It is not my power supply - i replaced it but the same thing is happening. Whenever it is plugged in, the light comes on and when i push it nothing happens. The fan does not come on, the light doesnt flash, no sounds or anything. Please help.

I got this last week on my sony business computer that says >>>>>Windows could not start because the following files is missing or corrupt \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

I took my computer to the BEST BAY and they said that they can't fix it. So I just want to know if anyone had solved this problem.

I do not care about the computer at all I just care that I have files and I used quick books and qickens for the business. I do not know if the files have been saved at the documents or not. I just know that I have files of these programes that can ruin my life if I can't solve these problem.

My son got one of his school's old pcs and when we brought it home and set it up, it kept asking for us to install the modem and it had a drop down list of different ones, we tried a few, but nothing worked. We had it connected to a dial up line, but we couldn't get on line. How can we get this pc to work? Is it possible that there's no dial modem installed in it? If there isn't, could we buy one? We aren't sure how old it is, probably 1998/99 Dell. Any suggestions?

The specs above (my comptuer) are quite high, and I only got the computer at Christmas time. Now, the problem is that the computer stills seems to run slow and freezes lots of times for a few minutes. It also does log in and load as fast as I would like it...

What can I do about this?

Ok, I have this pc and I was putting in a new video card. "and yes I have tried other pci devices!" Anyway. The fan on the card turns on, seems like it is working perfectly fine however... the monitor stays blank black.
The monitor DOES work with the onboard, What is the problem?

it is intermittent, but is continually present. even when i'm not working on it, nor running any programs.
