If I put a UV cold cathode in my computer, will it damage the parts? since its a UV?

Yes & NO
Yes : cause UV cold cathode light a.k.a. CCFL ( cold cathode fluorescent lights) emits static and CAN be a a harm to the sensitive components inside ur case.

NO: because most of the CCFL parts are isolated except them El Cheapo ones

Yes. UV rays are what cause damage in plastic and other materials.

Is it enough to be worried about? Not really. Even if it oxidizes the outer layer of plastic on your equipment, it's not like it will make a difference.

ther are no STANDARD parts that would be damaged. But I would save the voltage for a better vid card or more agressive cooling. CCtubes look cool but they cant frag anyone
