i'm trying to restore my computer due to viruses........i've done this millions of times, i just pop in the restoration cd and wait till it tells me to insert the 2nd one....well today i tried doing that again and it stops at about 2 percent and then tells me "could not read from image file".......now i can't use the computer at all because the process was started but wasn't finished.....any help is appreciated.....thanks.

(i have windows xp and it says its a vpr matrix if that helps)

I have an M-Audio Keystation 49e that connects to my PC thorugh USB. The latency is too high for it to even be useful in Sonar. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I want to create a new partition for my HP laptop, so I can install Vista and keep XP. How exactly do I go about doing that? Also, I need to have a double boot, so i can pick XP or Vista at startup. I know it can be done, but I have NO idea how.

I have a laptop with badly fragmented C drive. I do not have the battery on my laptop. Also I do not have an UPS .I have two questions.
1) If power failure occurs while the defragmentation uility is running, will it wreck my C drive on the Laptop and render my laptop useless ? Will I be forced to reinstall the operating system again ?
2) If it runs too long , can it be cancelled without hurting the C: drive ? Is there a cancellation option on the defragmentation menu ?
My Laptop has Windows/Xp SP2.

I've been looking over processors for a while now and I'm a little confused with pricing. Is 66 mhz fsb really worth that much more, cause that seems to be the only statistical advantage to all of the intel processors. The price seems to sky rocket with on the intel side for what i assumed to be merely the same processor excluding the maker. Correct me if I'm wrong though, the Amd 2x and the intel core duo are the same thing, so compared side by side with the same ghz and basically the same fsb (1000 vs 1066) what are the other reasons if any for the pricing for intels to be so much higher???

how do i boost the signal on a wireless camera setup. its signal strength is about 300ft wich equates to about 40ft-50ft in the real world (cell phone interferance, radio signal interferance etc.) what device is used to boost the signal for these types of devices and how does it work? i need a signal strong enough for it to work up to about 700ft through walls and stuff, the tiny camera is going to be mounted on a small rc car and driven in my backyard : ) there i said it.

I have (or had) a Maxtor DiamondMax plus 9 160gb sata/ 150dd. first ? is since this one is a SATA hdd i should buy another SATA hdd right instead of a EIDE? and second part is is there different SATA kinds i should get, like on my hard drive it says serial ata 1.5Gb/s 3.5 series.

While im playing a game on my computer everything suddenly turns into blocks, i can still see the game, but its all blurry and everythings is in blocks. After a while my screen will freeze and my monitor will restart itself. When i restart my computer it goes back to normal.
Is this my monitor overheating? or can it be my videocard?
