Keyboard Latency?

I have an M-Audio Keystation 49e that connects to my PC thorugh USB. The latency is too high for it to even be useful in Sonar. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Sonar takes a lot of processing power so check what else is running on the computer and if the computer is older than 4 yrs prolly need to upgrade. Running adaware and anti-virus to check for viruse and spyware.
