I have a gateway solo 1200 it boots up but makes 1 long beep with no display.I have looked for beep codes for it cant find any info i have also removed the cmos battery for 2 days still it does it. If anyone knows what this is or how to fix it let me know please.

"Boot-up beeps" are always hardware related. Have you recently installed/removed any hardware or it's drivers? If not, try booting into Safe Mode and see where that gets you.

Reboot your computer, and as soon as it shuts off and starts to reload, tap your F8 key until you get a boot menu. (may take several attempts before you catch it)

Boot into Safe Mode, and see if your PC will load that way. If so, try uninstalling your vid card drivers, and downlaod an older version.

You have not said what you was doing before you got the problem

Beeps ether memory, or video connection

video card is not plugged in right ( make sure cable is plugged in right,
make sure the mamory is seated right, just press it down without pressing down on it to hard,
