It is more like 5% at the most, don't forget that 800 has a lower latency that helps make up for some of the speed difference. Whether it is worth it depends on the cost. If it is $25 more, then perhaps worth it, if $75, then probably not.

depends which MB u have if its an AMD then 800MHz RAM will be good cause that AMD CPU can take, u can get 1066 for and AMD but it will see it as 800.
Intel on the other have can support 1066 np
