i am trying to replace my power supply to be able to keep up with a new geforce7600GT video card. problem is, i have an hp computer, and i'm not sure if a 500W psu will fit.

i don't really understand because the hp site says that the motherboard is micro atx form fitting. does that mean i can't fit normal atx power supplies? i can't seem to find any micro-atx power supplies that are more than 300W.

I attempted to restore my pc using system restore. It was almost 30 min and it still had not finished so I shut my computer down and now it wont boot to my desktop.

My computer is a gatewat gt5404 and its windows vista home premium. Ive tried to restore it with my windows disk and it just wont work.

Is there anything I can do without re installing windows on it. For example. On my old dell you could press cntrl and f11 on boot up to restore to factory default.

my computer is mixed with old and new parts.
it broke down a couple days ago because of the power supply, but im not sure if it damaged other parts.

i'm planning to get a vaio 11.1" and they're only available with core solo processors. is core 2 duo much better than core solo that its worth giving up the 11.1 i really like and getting a 13" because it's available with core 2 duo?

please advise. the laptop will be mainly used for web development and some games.

My son has a dell computer and recently his monitor settings have all been changed, this has caused everything to be too large to fit screen. the monitor is one of the older ones with the buttons on the monitor itself. is there anyone out there who can tell me what settings need to be set on to fix this problem. I have disabled and enabled my graphics card. Uninstalled and installed my card and its drivers. I have run anti spyware programs as well as ccleaner. Ive run chckdsk several times too. Finally after everything I reinstalled Windows entirely but still the problem persists. Error Code 12. Resources....... I have no clue. The computer has run fine for almost 3 years. Then I get the blue screen of death and Im stuck with a resolution from the 80's. Thank you in advance for your anticipated help.

I discovered that "Windex" and my flat 17" Hansol CRT monitor screen's outer dark coating don't mix. One of them had to go, as they say, but in my case, BOTH went. You'd think that Windex, being the glass cleaner that it is, would be effective for monitor screens, which are, after all, glass. Yes, it's effective. Problem is it's too effective.
Anyway, does anyone know of a specific chemical that's safe for LCD screens?

Hello everyone.

I used to be able to watch full length DVD up to two hours on my notebook when the AC adapter is unplugged... Recently, my notebook can not play full lenght DVD movies because the battery life would run out just after 20 minutes.

I contacted Dell and they told me my warranty does noit cover the battery.

I dim the LCD light to correct the problem, but that did not help. I adjust the power scheme, but that does not help, either. What can I do to correct this problem?

Note: The notebook is now 3 years old.
