I am thinking of buying a laptop, but I know the electronics industry, has sales usually in July with new products, because of students returning back to school. Therefore I am thinking of holding off till July....

If you get the newspaper, watch the weekly ads. Here, every week we get separate flyers from Office Max, Office Depot, Best Buy, Computer City, CompUSA - all competing. I think you will find specials offered just before a holiday. You may also want to consider checking websites like Dell or HP and see if they have any refurbished laptops on hand. They go fast, but if you check frequently, you might catch a good deal.

They're sales going on all the time, I've seen computer under 400 dollars and that goes for both laptops and desktops. And some places if you go to the manufacture web site, will give you student discounts. I've heard hp is one of them. The only brand I would not get is Dell, any other brand is fair game.
