Actually I would say they are both good, AMD is becoming a very good one.

The Core 2 Duo, by far.
UPDATED RESPONSE:
Look, if you're a preteen idiot, don't bother responding and thumbs downing to what you have no idea what you're talking about. It's annoying. The Core 2 Duo is the best processor on the market right now, nothing in AMD's lineup can beat it. The Core 2 Duo is also much better in terms of battery life too. This isn't an opinion...it's fact. Now go away!!!!!

Hi,
Generally speaking, laptops are mostly unsuitable for gaming, so what you want to choose is the most energy efficient/good performance CPU for your needs. Turion used to be good, but not anymore since Core 2 Duo came out. Nevermind what people say about the Turion outperforming Intel in gaming, since that was something that "used" to be, and has totally changed since the last model was introduced.
As I said, in laptops, what you want is the maximum out of energy efficiency/performance, so that you don't have a power-hungry CPU with good performance.

If your working with allot of media or gaming, AMD will outperform Intel.
If you dont plan on using your pc for gaming, Intel has superior multitasking capabilities....
I will show you a link with several tests done by both processors....AMD wins, but this is using graphics to score the processors performance.....
