I attempted to restore my pc using system restore. It was almost 30 min and it still had not finished so I shut my computer down and now it wont boot to my desktop.
My computer is a gatewat gt5404 and its windows vista home premium. Ive tried to restore it with my windows disk and it just wont work.
Is there anything I can do without re installing windows on it. For example. On my old dell you could press cntrl and f11 on boot up to restore to factory default.

start your pc up, press F8, you then got several choices for example "last good configuration" safe mode (from there you can do a systemrestore again if needed.
if that dont works try out your cd and press "r" ,
then use recovery console.

You should take it to a shop.
By turning it off during the restoration, you made it infinitely worse.
