Most often sound cards are in a PCI slot... sometimes on older or lower-end machines, the sound is integrated with the mother board.

Look on the back of your PC for the speaker and mic ports... if they are in a card slot, you will know if it is integrated or not.

It is a guide for you to know how to install a Soundcard where you will see where is the sound card when you compare with your motherboard you may not find it as your sound card may be onboard . You can try to locate a small chip of Realtek ,Creative , C-Media.
