right sometimes the sound on my laptop works sometimes it doesnt i know there is suppose be a little icon of a speaker in the bottom of the right hand tool bar
first problem thats not there
second problem is when i do find the volume control which i rarely remember where that is can you tell me where to find it aswell as how do i get my sound to work all the time??/

I got a printer MFC-640CW it got a paper jam and i removed the paper but not it won't work properly it keep jumping on and off and on the LCD screen it says Please wait..Standard..then it clicks off then on again and repeats the same message over and over again..what is wrong with this picture? help..

My computer is getting slower everyday and it hangs almost all the time..The screen would just turn black... And after restarting, it would always say, "Windows has recovered from a serious error." Please help me resolve this problem. I've had this computer for almost 2 yrs already. What could be wrong??

MY CPU makes sounds too... What could be causing this sound? And how do i get rid of it? Please help you guys...thnx

I've done some pop art on Photoshop, howver, when I print it, it comes out too light. I'm using an Epson dx4200...

Anyone have any idea on how I get the correct colours to print out?

I purchased a laptop believing I have Intel Centrino inside it. When I turn on the laptop, I see Intel Pentium M processor and never see the word centrino. Am I a victim of hardware replacement? Please enlighten me. Thank you.

I've got a Toshiba R15 tablet. Ever since I got the computer, I've noticed some dust spots on the screen. Frequent cleanings have lead me to believe that the dust is UNDERNEATH the screen. Also, more recently, a hair seems to have worked it's way into the middle of my screen. Any suggestions?

so it's not defrag etc. I do think it is the amount of processes (56) working away in the background though that is the cause. However, I am not sure which of many is not required on start-up.

If anyone can give me advice on how to go about finding out it would be much appreciated, as it is taking well over 10 minutes to boot up what with scanning for viruses etc, painfull when you are in a hurry.

I am using AMD Athlon 2200+, 1.8Ghz, 40GB HDD, 128MB RAM. my doubts is.. i want to upgrade my RAM to 512 or 1GB. how do i know that my motherboard can support higher versions of RAM. please dont tell, ask your vendor.... can i find it out of myself???

I turn on laptop and it comes up to the area of windows. It gives a choice to choose to come up in safe mode, but when I choose that it only shows drivers. If I start it up in normal mode it shows windows starting and then the screen goes blank. Have tried
control alt delete.. nothing seems to work. (didn't back up :( )
Wonder if a boot disc from another computer would help and if so how to make one???
Any suggestions? would be so appreciative of any advise!

you know when you connect something to your computer, like a usb device, and it makes that sound like duh-duh sound. Well my computer just started randomly making that sound like every few seconds. I was in the middle of wiping my hard drive with freeware i'd download, but my computer was so slow/infected, that it 'crashed' midway through the uninstallation of windows me, and now im stuck, all that comes up now when it boots up is a black screen...any advice at all would be awesome!

My older computer once had a 19" monitor on it, and worked fine in a higher display. I plugged in the smaller monitor and now it won't boot past the XP logon. After it goes past the XP Logon the screen turns black and says Going to Sleep, yet you can hear the computer working like it's booted up. I tried to set the display lower with the older bigger monitor but the problem persists. What am i doing wrong?
