I am having trouble installing an "LG FLATRON 795FT PLUS" monitor with a computer that has an "Asus P4VP-MX" motherboard.

With the standard plug and play, my monitor "lags" when I drag windows or view web pages.

I was on my mac G4 surfing the web when all of a sudden it shut off. The Computer had been charged about 45 Min prior to it turning off, so the battery still had plenty of life left. But i tried charging it and nothing. It wont even turn on...

Has anyone ever experienced this before?

any help /tips & suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated!

my desktop computer won't switch on. the monitor's fine but the harddisk, when I switch it on, will be alive for just a second before dying again. Do you know what the problem would be? if I can fix it myself? If I have to bring it in for repairs, how much do you think it would cost?

my computer did come up but nothing would be opened and i got errors all over the place. so dell chaneg my hard drive and my computer is just fine now. but i had a lot of important things on the drive such as pictures and important documents. i bought a enclosure and put the busted hard drive in it but it did not open any files. SO IF THE HARD DRIVE IS BUSTED & NOT WORKING IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET THE DATA RECOVERED? WHERE? HOW MUCH? HOW

My old Performa monitor died & I'd like to plug in a PC monitor. The Mac is a Performa 6200 CD. The video card is pre PCI capable - R, G and B outputs are discreet - card's okay - using a borrowed 12" (I think) Mac display.

If I know EXACTLY what I need, I'll try finding it in a Yahoo! Auction.

Whenever I'm watching a video or listening to music, the sound volume of it suddenly drops for random periods of time (usually about 10 to 30 secs) and then resumes back to normal (this happens about 4 times in 10 minutes). I've scanned my computer with spybot search and destroy, adaware, and AVG (I don't know if that helps at all...) and nothing seems to work. If any of you know what might be wrong, or how to fix this, please reply!!

I've tried searching all the questions on here, but I recently had to replace my motherboard due to a failure, and I replaced it with an identical model. The PSU is brand new, and the Hard Drive has been tested on another computer and works fine, but I can't get anything when I turn the computer on. All the fans, cooling system, and CD-ROM drive come on, but nothing ever displays on the screen. I've tried reseating the video card and RAM with no success. HOWEVER, ONE time I was able to get the BIOS screen to come up with my Windows Vista CD in the drive, but I didn't have the keyboard plugged in to bring it to setup, and I haven't been able to get it again. Help?

the problem is the machine it takes too long to process takes more than 30 seconds processing
if i open more than 2 programs in same time it takes more longer that i can prepare a cafe while waiting

I am trying to hook up my sisters compaq notebook to an older television. I understand the concept of what needs to happen.

I cand figure out how to tell if we have the correct video card.

There is both an rca and vga spot on the side of the notebook... What would you suggest I buy?

I have access to a s-cable converter to make it work on an old tv. Any other advice would be appreciated!!

I need to know if this board will support a faster processor.It currently has a Pentium 4 1.60 ghz and I want to go to a Pentium 4 3.0 or3.2 ghz processor if possible.The FSB on the one that's in this oldie but goodie is 400MHz-The new one I want to put in is 800MHz This is a new "Hobby" for me so if my questions seem a little dumb don't laugh too loud!! Ok, I know how to take a computer apart and I know how to put one together. What I need to know is what are all the parts that go into a laptop? Motherboard and cpu is obvious, I just want to make sure that I get everything that is not so obvious. And I know there is differant power sources to get but I don't know which is the right one. Basicly I would just like a list of all componants so I can research what I need. I just can't afford to get an already built computer right now. I was wondering if anyone new how to get a western digital hard drive model # WD800JD to show up during windows xp installation? The drive is working i can install windows vista, and linux on it and it shows up in the bios. When i boot up the installation disk and hit enter to continue to the part where you select the device to install windows on, it says that there in no drive installed and tells me to reboot. Again this is a Western Digital model # WD800JD SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive.

I recently purchased a new Dell computer and got it this Monday. Today (Friday) I decided to set up the computer, but when I turn on the computer, after the loading bar, the screen goes black and stays like that. I called Dell Tech Support twice (and waited a LONG time) and they were of no help. For those of you who have some knowledge of computers, what do you think may be causing the problem? (Note: The monitor is fine; I tried another monitor and it didn't work either.) Please help.
