Asus P4VP-MX motherboard / Monitor Compatibility?

I am having trouble installing an "LG FLATRON 795FT PLUS" monitor with a computer that has an "Asus P4VP-MX" motherboard.

With the standard plug and play, my monitor "lags" when I drag windows or view web pages.

scan for viruses it should just be pnp and work fine and check the settings
I build PCs and never had a problem with lagging monitors even multiples
