I am using a loaner Dell laptop from Vocational Rehabilitation Services. Somehow the stupid enter key came off and the little u-bar thing underneath is loose too. So how do I fix it without it costing too much money?

I have been recieving quite high speed internet, i installed a surge protector and the line now runs through that, the internet now goes slow on one computer but faster on the other., would this be becausee of the surge protector, or not.

Any solutions- comments- queries would be appreciated thanks.

i'm gettin ready to buy a laptop. but i have no idea what is a good hard drive size, memory size, and processor size. i want a fast computer and lots of memory. so can anyone help me. and do i need a wireless card. i'm not sure what that is or what it's for. also what brands are best? My friend has a problem, we are trying to fix it for him.

"..can anyone tell me how to recover the harddisk, i really need that. mine is samsung 40GB P4. when i switch on the comp it says your "hal.dll is missing or corrupted" and i try to replace that file through dual harddisk but still it shows the same and i gave it in the shop but they said they can't do it, its fully corrupted.."

Hi

my dvd player does now find the disc all i get is a message (insert disc) i have done this and also trouble shooted it but i still cannot get it to read the disc this also applys to me my cd writer.

I think its about the Visual Card. I'm not sure what's wrong with it, but sometimes the monitor just fails to show yet it still shows signs that the CPU is still working. I had my dad bring a technichian over last time this happened--he told me next time all I had to do was clean it or something. Now, I've cleaned the stupid computer and yeah, sure it works but then after a few minutes it either hangs or just fails to show again. I don't think its any virus thingy because only the monitor fails for me.

...help, please? :D
