Not sure what your asking, rephrase. Do you want to copy from DVD onto another DVD or do you want to copy the DVD onto your computer?
If it's the second one, copy DVD to your computer, then no need to convert unless you want to save space.
1. Right click on my computer
2. Select Explorer
3. Find your dvd drive/ with the DVD in the drive
4. Nagivate to the "video" folder
5. all the files that are mpeg, you can copy those to your computer for viewing/playing. Windows media should play them on your computer just fine, it doesn't matter what media you use, DVD or Hard drive, just the correct player or codec.
