If your mouse has a USB connector, any mouse that works on Windows will also work on a Mac. This includes Right-click and the scroll wheel.

Any USB mouse should easily work with a Mac system. It is plug in and play technology so the Mac wouldn't be able to "tell" what the device is. Simply once plugged in it should work fine.

you need to do all that on dell, toshiba, apple. i'm on my third mac workstation in 4 years and that i also owned a Toshiba workstation. in case you may arise with the money for it, i'd bypass for Apple. that is straight forward to apply and that i do not spend a great number of time, keeping it sparkling from viruses, spy ware like on my xp machines. in case you make certain to bypass for Apple, i'd evaluate getting apple care with it. Are you going to univ/college finished time? i think you'd be eligible for a academic lower price.
