Hi there.

Try this:

Close the software application that you are using to print.
Click Start, click Settings, and then click Printers.
Right-click the icon (picture) for the HP printer.
In the menu that displays, use the left mouse button to click Properties.
In the Properties dialog box, click the Details tab. (In Windows 2000, click the Advanced tab. WIndows ME, maybe the same, dunno)
Check that the driver listed under Print using the following driver or Printer matches the HP printer you are using.
The following setting may be in one of several places, depending on your printer driver and operating system.
In the Details tab, click Setup. Under Printout, select one of the color options. (If other options have check marks, click in the check boxes to remove the check marks.)
If there is no Setup button, click the Graphics tab, and then click Color. Under Color Control, choose a color option, and click OK. If there is no Graphics tab, click the Advanced tab and look for the text Print in Grayscale.
If there is no check mark in the box by Print in Grayscale, click in the box to add the check mark, and click OK.
If you are using Windows 2000, in the Advanced tab, click Printing Defaults. Click the Advanced tab. The box by Print in Grayscale should be checked.
Click OK.
Close the Printers window.
Open the software application that you were using to print.
Try printing again.

Hope this helps

I think any color printer can print only black and white. When you want to print click "File" then "Print"
Click "Properties", it's next to the place where you select the name of your printer. In "Properties" you should see a part called "Ink" then you can choose color or black and white.

Hope I helped... This works on my printer and all the printers I used before.... XD

course you can... go to File, Print..... select the properties tab next to the field which has the name of your printer in it... i guess you should see various tabs in the box that opens up.. i can't remember which one it is, but if you go through each one, you should find one which asks to check or uncheck the box for colour / just black and white.. not so technical an answer but hope it helps!

after you click on print, click on preferences and a column will appear and tick on the box or circle that say black, it will change the preference of your printer from colored to black and white then click ok and then print.

Try looking for the 'printer friendly' logo...That just prints in b/w.
Or look in 'options' when you click print.....

Good luck...

How old is your printer? If its old buy another.
We had to get a new one cas it wouldn't print in colour( which was odd cas it did in test print)
Try redownloading it into your computor sometimes printers lose 'conection' with d computor.
Printers are ishy things and quite often u can't fix'em.

You could try changing the color of the logo's them selves.

One way is to just open your printer cover and remove the color cartridge.
