This is a great website which will show you how to get the parts you need and how to assemble everything.

It even goes into more advanced tasks such as overclocking, water-cooling, etc.
If you just want to do the basics, it should help as well.
There are a ton of great resources found via Yahoo! if you search using the keywords using "building a computer."

I am a IT. You question needs clarification. Do you mean a Barebones computer, or do you mean a motherboard bundle?
